Composition Jávea consists of three centres that each feel different. The pueblo is the historic, leafy centre a few kilometres inland, with the market hall, the fortified church and everyday Spanish life.
Opposites The harbour (El Puerto) lives year-round, with fishing boats, terraces along the Aduanas del Mar and the pebble bay La Grava. The Arenal, as the only sandy beach, has the most pronounced holiday rhythm, with beach bars and a lively promenade in summer.
Nature Around them lie the villa zones on the slopes, with the Montgó as a sheltering home mountain in the north and the nature reserve of Cap de la Nau and Cala Granadella in the south. Lots of greenery, lots of sea views and short distances.
Microclimate Jávea is known for an exceptionally mild and healthy climate. The Montgó breaks the north wind and keeps the winters mild. It is one of the reasons so many Northern Europeans stay here year-round, not just in season.
Conclusion The choice between pueblo, harbour, Arenal and the villa slopes is above all a choice of lifestyle: walkable village life, a year-round harbour, beach rhythm or peace with a view. That is where we advise most.
