This page explains which cookies and similar technologies costaselect.com uses, what for, who they belong to and how long they stay. Some we always set, because the site does not work without them. The rest only if you give your consent in the cookie banner.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Some are needed to make the site work, others help us see how the site is used or measure advertising. Besides cookies, some services use your browser’s local storage (localStorage). It works the same way and falls under the same rules, so we list it here too.

We also count visits with our own visitor counter, which uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses. How it works and how long we keep that data is described in our privacy statement.
If you switch on Statistics in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics to see how the site is used. Ahrefs works without cookies and only counts page views; Google Analytics sets these cookies:

Google and Meta then also receive which pages you view and whether you send a form; Meta also records clicks on buttons. They process this data as independent parties, including outside the EU. Their own terms are at policies.google.com and facebook.com/policies/cookies.
If you do not give consent, the Meta pixel and Ahrefs do not load. The site does tell Google Analytics and Google Ads what you do here, such as which pages you view, without cookies and without a fixed code that recognises you (Google calls this Consent Mode). Google uses these reports to estimate totals.
Photos of the homes in our listings are loaded directly from the servers of our property database. Like any website that serves an image, those servers see your IP address. They set no cookies.
You can change your choice at any time, per category, via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.
If you switch a category off, we immediately delete the cookies and stored values of that category and reload the page, so those services stop straight away. After that, Google keeps receiving the cookieless reports described above, as it does for everyone who does not give consent.
Two things we cannot prevent. The IDE cookie lives on Google’s own domain; we cannot delete it, you can only remove it in your browser settings (under Privacy or Cookies). And right after you withdraw, Google may still receive one measurement from the page you were viewing, collected before you withdrew.
We update this statement when we change the cookies or services on the site. The date at the top shows when that last happened.
