The first phase is often a difficult one; what exactly are you looking for, what location suits you best, how do you deal with all of the information and impressions that you’re encountering? Costa Select will help you with this process and remove the distractions, allowing you to concentrate on actually looking at the locations and the properties themselves. After a brief interview we will make sure that you only view properties that meet your criteria, arranging viewings with the relevant collaborating agencies and accompanying you on these visits. |
| Apply for NIE number |

Without the NIE number - a fiscal number for foreigners - you can neither buy a property nor even a car in Spain. Costa Select will take care of your application and are able, at a cost of €70 per person, to arrange collection of your NIE number within a day, avoiding the stress of long queues and the normal delays. This service is unique to Costa Select clients. |
| Structural and technical survey |

We normally ask one of the contractors that we work with to do a structural assessment as well as the technical survey. They can give you an idea of any potential issues and quote on the necessary repairs or improvements. If needed, we can also arrange for a full and official survey carried out by a certified architect or a UK certified surveyor. |
| Mortgage |
|
Costa Select has contracts with several Spanish and international banks, providing you with a wide range of mortgage products. We can introduce you to the bank whose products suit you best, and provide estimates at an early stage in order to determine your available budget. There is no extra fee for this service – we receive an arrangement fee from the bank if you proceed with a mortgage. |
| The Purchase |

Once we have found your property, Costa Select will guide you through all the steps in the purchasing process. We will help you to negotiate the best possible price and conditions. Together with your solicitor, we then take care of all legal aspects, drawing up the contract, and representing you at the notary when the title deeds are signed. |
